More cruise ship newbuilds may be announced shortly from both Virgin Cruises and recently-acquired Crystal Cruises.
The news from Virgin surrounds Fincantieri, which may be in the driver’s seat with the best financing among the yards competing for two 180,000-ton newbuilds according to a report in The Medi Telegraph.
Meanwhile, Crystal management has reportedly been spending time in Papenburg. If an order were to go to Meyer Werft, the ship would be expected to be built in Turku while the German facility continues to handle larger vessels.
