China Cruise Shipping Conference and Show Confirmed for Shanghai in October

China Cruise Shipping conference sessionThe 10th edition of the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association’s (CCYIA) conference and trade show will take place in Shanghai this October. In 2014, the event was hosted in Tianjin, following a 2013 conference also in Shanghai.

The event is organized by the CCYIA, a government organization.

Opening speakers in Tianjin included Arnold Donald, president and CEO of Carnival Corporation, and Adam Goldstein, Chief Operating Officer of Royal Caribbean Cruises.

Attendance includes top management from all the major cruise brands operating or thinking about operating in China, and also includes Chinese cruise brands, travel companies, suppliers and companies looking to enter the industry.

Popular in 2014 were procurement briefings, bringing together supply chain executives and vendors in a discussion format. A number of key news items were also announced, including the signing of a strategic MOU between Carnival Corporation and China State Shipbuilding.
