Crystal Announces New Corporate Sales Director & Regional Addition

Crystal Cruises has promoted Person Garcia to Director of Business Development & Group Sales.  Garcia will oversee the continued growth of Crystal’s charter and incentive sales department, as well as collaborate with the luxury line’s district sales managers in new business development.  Most recently, Garcia spent five years as District Sales Manager for Crystal Cruises, Los Angeles region.  He previously held senior sales positions with Norwegian and Premier Cruise Lines.

Replacing Garcia as Los Angeles’ District Sales Manager is Edyta Teper.  Teper is a 17-year travel industry veteran.  Most recently, she managed the growth of travel agency and corporate accounts as regional business development manager for Carnival Cruise Line.  A native of Australia, Teper has lived in Los Angeles for 14 years.

“Demonstrating strong sales skills, leadership qualities and long-term relationships with key accounts, Person was a natural for this promotion,” says Bill Smith, Crystal’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.  “Person has successfully managed one of Crystal’s largest sales territories for years, we look forward to his expanding new business opportunities.  Edyta’s experience, too, in this territory will be an asset to our sales team.  Her extensive sales and leadership development training has easily equipped her to step up to selling luxury and gives her a great base from which to expand the regional agents selling Crystal Cruises.”

Currently, 19 District Sales Managers represent Crystal throughout the U.S. and Canada, in addition to overseas representatives.

In 2008, the award-winning Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity visit 167 ports over 61 worldwide itineraries ranging from seven to 108 days in length.  The line’s 2009 Cruise Guide detailing next year’s worldwide itineraries is now available.
