Princess Cruises Announces New World Cruise for 2015

Princess Cruises has announced details of its 2015 world cruise, with departures from Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle enabling more Australians to sail from their doorstep to see the world.

Taking in 41 destinations in 28 countries, Sea Princess’ 104-night global circumnavigation from Australia will feature a record number of South American calls – including Cartagena and Pisco – as well as a maiden call to the wine capital of the west, Margaret River.

Visits to adventurous destinations from Reykjavik to Easter Island are mixed with popular favourites including Athens, Rome, Istanbul and Bermuda, while overnight stops in New York, Dubai and Venice promise more opportunities to explore some of the world’s great cities.

For the first time Australians will be able to enjoy the round trip world cruise from Fremantle as well as Sydney, and will also have the opportunity to embark in Melbourne or disembark in Brisbane.

Princess Cruises is the only cruise line to offer a round trip world cruise from the southern hemisphere, with the latest circumnavigation providing a highlight on the cruise line’s new 2015 winter program.

In total, the winter program offers 31 departure options across 16 unique itineraries to more than 80 destinations around the world. Other highlights of the program include a 15-night sailing to Papua New Guinea on Dawn Princess departing Sydney on June 23, 2015 with fares from $2599* and a 15-night roundtrip cruise to Indonesia from Perth on April 14 priced from $2649*. Also on offer are 12 and 14-night cruises between Fremantle and Singapore as well as a 26-night South East Asia voyage taking in Bali, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok with fares from $4299*.

Dawn Princess and Sea Princess will also sail on the popular Northern Explorer cruise across Australia’s northern coastline a record five times over the winter, including the first ever Melbourne-Fremantle offering. Including calls to Port Douglas, Darwin, Broome, Lombok, Geraldton and scenic cruising along the spectacular Kimberley Coast, the cruises are priced from $2449*.

Princess Cruises Australia Vice President Stuart Allison said the cruise line offered more destinations on round trip cruises from Australia than any other operator.  .
