Refund for Grandeur Guests

Royal Caribbean International has cancelled the current Grandeur of the Seas voyage following an early morning fire on Monday, and the Miami-based cruise line confirmed guests will receive a full refund of their cruise fare and a future cruise certificate. In addition, Royal is flying guests back to the departure port, Baltimore.

Executives and technical staff from Royal Caribbean are still evaluating the ship, and news on future sailings will be released as it comes available.

Helping the situation is the Grand Bahama Shipyard, a cruise-focused yard in Freeport, which could play a role in repairing the 1996-built ship.
