Ramon Millan has been named senior vice president and global chief information officer for Carnival Corporation & plc.
In this capacity, Millan oversees all facets of information technology for the corporation. Working in tandem with the operating company CIOs and other key leaders within the organization, Millan is responsible for enhancing the company’s existing information-technology practice while pursuing innovative strategies to maximize new opportunities.
Millan reports to David Bernstein, Carnival Corporation & plc’s senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Prior to joining Carnival, Millan spent 13 years at Pfizer Inc., one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical firms, holding a number of management posts, most recently vice president and chief information officer for the company’s developed markets division.
Millan also spent six years with PepsiCo in Mexico City in various technology and sales positions, and held management roles with a number of other high-profile international companies in Mexico and Belgium.

Millan graduated from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in chemical and systems engineering, and earned a Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management and a master’s in economics from the London School of Economics.
