Layton-Junco Promoted to VP, Global Human Resources at Carnival Corp

Aimeerenee Layton-Junco has been promoted to vice president of global human resources for Miami-based Carnival Corporation & plc, the world’s largest cruise vacation group. 

In this expanded role, Layton-Junco will continue to focus on enhancing the company’s employee culture, which recognizes and rewards employees for their performance and achievements.  She will continue reporting to Jerry Montgomery, senior vice president of global human resources.

A recognized leader and veteran of Carnival Corporation & plc since 2002, Layton-Junco held key positions in management advisory services and corporate strategic projects. 

She was instrumental in forming the Corporate Global Human Resources department from its inception in 2008.  Since then, she has been responsible for developing strategic policies and programs both shoreside and shipboard, throughout the global corporate compensation and benefits areas of the company. Through the strategic programs that she and her team have created, Carnival Corporation & plc continues to recruit, retain and develop top talent to support worldwide company growth.

Prior to joining Carnival Corporation in 2002, Layton-Junco worked for IBM Global Services in Atlanta and Miami.

Layton-Junco holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Clayton State University and an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University.  She is also an advanced guard member in the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps enable thousands of injured warriors returning from the battlefield by providing assistance to their families.
