Meyer and Lufthansa Systems to Collaborate on Cabin of Future

Lufthansa Systems today announced that it has agreed to cooperate with the Papenburg-based Meyer Werft shipyard in the development of innovative solutions for passenger ships. This agreement ensures that the long-standing collaboration between the two companies in the field of new-build cruise ships will continue.

Both companies are very innovative and distinguished by a high degree of technological competence. In March, Lufthansa Systems presented its Guest Service Portal, the first fully integrated platform for interactive guest services on board cruise ships. Meyer Werft and Lufthansa Systems are now joining forces to tap the potential of the cruise ship market together.

“This cooperation will enable us to further develop our close relationship and mutually benefit from a number of new opportunities,” said Bernd Appel, Senior Vice President Industry Solutions at Lufthansa Systems.
