Cruise and land tourists are on track to set a new all-time record for Israel, according to the Israeli Ministry of Tourism. During the first nine months of 2012, the country saw a total of 2.3 million tourists, 7 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
August also set a new high in tourism with the arrival of 298,000 travelers, a 10 percent increase compared to the same period last year and 7 percent more than in August 2010.
Cruise travel to Israel also saw an increase in August 2012 according to the ministry, with the arrival of 12,000 cruise-based entries, a 39 percent increase compared to August 2011.
