Hamburg, Germany, is set to again host its Hamburg Cruise Days Festival between August 17 and 19.

Over the weekend seven ships will visit Hamburg, which will host a number of festivities and events through the weekend, bringing the “thrill and excitement of maritime life to dry land.”

Organizers are expecting 500,000 visitors over three days, and will light up the port blue, with blue lighting at night.

Ships visiting include the AIDAluna and AIDAmar, Peter Deilmann’s Deutschland, the Astor, Columbus 2, MSC Lirica and the Queen Mary 2.

There will also be a fleet of party boats on the River Elbe, Friday night, and a Hamburg Cruise Days Parade on Saturday night with five cruise ships and various escort boats, in front of a fireworks display.
