No Vacancy at The Port of Boston

On Sept. 27, Princess Cruises’ Crown Princess, Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Norwegian Spirit, and Holland America’s Veendam will present a spectacular “one-behind-the-other” lineup along the dock. Today’s port calls are one of three “triple plays” at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal within the next week. Other dates are September 30th with the Carnival Victory, the Norwegian Majesty, and the Queen Mary 2, and October 5th when the Explorer of the Seas, the Norwegian Dawn, and the Saga Ruby call the Port of Boston.

Ships will be berthed with the Spirit being closest to the Summer Street Bridge, followed by the Crown Princess, then the Veendam closest to the outer harbor.

Viewing is prohibited from the pier, therefore the best opportunity to see all three ships while docked will be on the Summer Street Bridge over the Reserved Channel in South Boston. The best viewing of the ships arriving and departing will be at Castle Island a half hour before and after arrival and departure times. Castle Island is also located in South Boston.  A cruise ship parade out of the harbor is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
