Susan G. Komen for the Cure and World Travel Holdings (WTH), one of the nation’s top travel retail networks, are teaming up to offer “A Cruise for the Cure,” a unique group sailing fundraiser to raise money for breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs.

The group sailing will be marketed by World Travel Holdings’ flagship brand, CruisesOnly, America’s Largest Cruise Agency. CruisesOnly, in partnership with Holland America Line, will serve as host to the exclusive group cruise sailing Dec. 1-8, 2012. The sailing on the Holland America Eurodam begins in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., making stops in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; and then back to Ft. Lauderdale on Sat., Dec. 8.

“We’re so pleased to launch a unique travel experience for a cause we care very deeply about,” said Brad Tolkin, co-chairman and co-CEO, World Travel Holdings. “Many of our employees involved in the planning of this cruise event have loved ones affected by breast cancer so this cause is very close to our hearts. We look forward to this fundraiser being a huge success and continuing a long-term relationship with Susan G. Komen for the Cure.”

The inaugural cruise includes an On Deck for the Cure walk on board the ship, survivor recognition, T-shirt and goody bag. In addition to the walk, a variety of Komen-specific activities including an on-board cocktail bon voyage reception and concert, breast cancer seminar(s), guest speakers, executive chef cooking demonstrations, a Pink Cocktail Party and silent auction, Zumba classes and more. Prices for the cruise vary by location on the ship, room size and amenities. A portion of each traveler’s cruise price, equaling $200 per person, will be donated to Susan G. Komen.

“We are so excited to be teaming up with World Travel Holdings, one of the nation’s top travel retail networks, in the fight against breast cancer,” said Dorothy Jones, VP, Marketing at Komen. “These travel experts are lending critical support to this cause by hosting this fun and unique group sailing trip and giving travelers the opportunity to take action for their breast health – all while enjoying the beautiful ship and ports.”
