Apollo Ship Chandlers Rebrands to Apollo Group

Apollo Ship Chandlers is rebranding to The Apollo Group, according to a statement from the company.

“When Apollo Ship Chandlers and its foreign affiliates commenced operations in 1969, cruise line food and beverage services was the company’s only business and the Internet was limited to government and education,” said the firm in a prepared statement.

“Today, 43 years later, the company has diversified to offer a broad portfolio of products and services appealing to cruise lines as well as other hospitality and logistics driven operations. “

Commenting on the rebranding and the launch of the new website, The Apollo Group President and CEO Jose Ramon Barrerasaid, “It has always been the goal of Apollo to be at the forefront of the industry, offering cutting edge products and services, and to set, rather than follow, trends. The rebranding of the group and launch of our new corporate image and website underscores our commitment to always be at the very front now and in the future.”

Rafael A. Ordoñez founded Apollo in 1969 with a very simple, but powerful, mission statement: To offer the best quality product at the lowest possible price.More than four decades and greatly expanded product offerings later, this core value still drives The Apollo Group companies.

Apollo Group companies share experience, expertise, and technical resources as well as an efficient streamlined management process. A case in point, Barcelona Europe Supply, offers a perfect example of this synergy. Originally a small produce warehouse used to supply clients’ vessels deployed in Europe in the summer season, Barcelona Europe Supply underwent a multi-million dollar expansion in 2009 to become the base of The Apollo Group operations in Europe, with 6,500 square meters of dry, cold, and frozen storage now supplying many of the major cruise lines who do business in major ports throughout Europe year round.
