QM2 Power Outages

According to the Herald Sun of Australia, the Queen Mary 2 suffered two power outages on her way to Australia that Cunard Line reportedly attributed to “routine maintenance” although a passenger claimed to have been stuck in an elevator for 10 minutes.

The outages were short, about half an hour, with the engines stopping and the lights going out briefly. Last September, the QM2 suffered an electrical failure which led to a safety alert from the UK Marine Investigation Branch.
