American Cruise Line has issued a press release announcing record third quarter earnings and “record revenues for the first nine months of the year (ending 9/30), exceeding last year by more than 25 percent.”
The small-ship operator is also predicting a record fourth quarter and is claming “record net profit and yield per passenger night” during the first nine months of 2011.
The short release, however, listed no actual financials.
“We’re seeing a higher percentage of repeat passengers,” said Timothy Beebe, Vice President of American Cruise Lines. ‘We’ve also seen a greater than expected response to our new 2012 itineraries in Alaska and on the Mississippi River.”
Beebe attributes sales growth, in part, to American Cruise Lines’ new tiered commission structure for travel agents. “We are working with many more new travel agents and our existing travel partners are booking more cruises than ever,” said Beebe.
