Norwegian Cruise Line Enhances Travel Partner Support

Norwegian Cruise Line’s travel partners now have even more resources to support them, including a dedicated microsite with marketing tools, social media content and booking incentives, during this year’s Wave Season.

Travel partners can visit www.nclagentsalesevent.com to utilize the variety of customizable resources and downloadable marketing tools for the current “Free Upgrades For All” sales event, including personalized email blasts, banner ads and flyers. Updated every two weeks to reflect the new featured bonus offer, the online toolkit also offers partners customizable e-cards and sharable content for Facebook and Twitter, helping agents to utilize social networks to communicate with their clients.

“During Wave season and throughout the year, a good travel agent provides objective advice and ensures that their clients are receiving the very best value for their dollar,” said Don Walker, co-president of WMPH Vacations. “Norwegian has always been a leader in supplying the onboard product with their signature Freestyle Cruising, consumer promotions and electronic tools that allow our travel agency to create a tremendous value for our clients.”

Travel partners also have the opportunity to win a cruise for two by simply entering their qualified booking entries into an online form. A new contest begins every two weeks, with the opportunity to win one of six cruises. Agents also have a chance to win American Express gift cards by playing the interactive and educational games on the site.

“Our travel partners are an important part of our business.  We count on them to help communicate and sell our Freestyle Cruising experience to their clients, especially now during Wave Season when most consumers are considering booking a cruise,” said Camille Olivere, vice president of sales for Norwegian Cruise Line. “Therefore we want to offer as much support as possible by providing them with helpful tools and key resources.”

Norwegian is also being proactive in advertising through national radio and online banners and offering upgrades to help drive guests to agents. The current “Free Upgrades For All” Sales Event (www.ncl.com/upgrade), running now through March 27, 2011, upgrades all new reservations booked on select sailings on any of the line’s 11 Freestyle Cruising ships. Guests receive up to a four-category upgrade, along with e-coupons in on-board savings of up to $400.  The current bonus offer is for Europe sailings and includes a bonus upgrade from a balcony to a mini-suite and includes Norwegian Epic in Europe
