Le Havre Closes Season

Le Havre has reported 70 cruise calls in 2010 and has booked more than 90 calls for 2011, according to a port spokesperson. In addition, 80 berth reservations have already been made for 2012.

The 2011 season starts in April. Among the noteworthy developments will be a Costa cruise with partial embarkation in Le Havre. The sailing is billed as a Northern European Capital voyage, allowing passengers to visit Paris, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Edinburgh and Oslo.

The last call this year was the Queen Victoria that visited on Dec. 19 before starting on her crossing to the Caribbean. The British passengers were said to use the opportunity to go Christmas shopping in Le Havre and in Paris.
