Carnival Offering Cruise Night Promotions

The World’s Largest Cruise Night (WLCN) is Wednesday, Oct. 13, and Carnival is helping travel agents entice new and existing clients with cruise upgrades available on virtually all “Fun Ship” departures through December 2011. To sweeten the deal, Carnival will offer not only best available upgrades, but up to a $200 onboard credit per stateroom for all Carnival Magic Europe voyages booked on Oct. 13.

“We wanted to find a way to help our travel agent partners create some big excitement this World’s Largest Cruise Night with offers that would spark a real incentive for clients to book,” said Joni Rein, Carnival’s vice president of worldwide sales. “Since we’re returning to Europe next spring with the Carnival Magic, we sweetened the deal for these sailings with a generous onboard credit offer on top of the best available upgrades.”

The WLCN best available upgrade offer applies to new individual bookings for stateroom categories 4A and higher. Upgrades are available within specific stateroom accommodation types (interior to interior, ocean view to ocean view, balcony to balcony). The Carnival Magic Europe offer includes best available upgrades and a $100 onboard credit per stateroom for seven-day Europe sailings and a $200 onboard credit per stateroom for nine- and 12-day sailings.

The upgrade and shipboard credit promotions are available in conjunction with the line’s Fun Select rates which allow guests to select the stateroom of their choice based on deck, location and accommodation category.

The 3,690-passenger Carnival Magic is set to debut in Europe May 1, 2011. The ship will offer a variety of unique features designed for an unforgettable “Fun Ship” experience.

Following an inaugural nine-day sailing from Venice May 1-10, 2011, Carnival Magic will sail from Barcelona with a series of seven- to 12-day Mediterranean cruises operating May 10 – Oct. 16, 2011. The ship will then sail on a 16-day trans-Atlantic crossing followed by the launch of seven-day Caribbean service from Galveston, Texas, Nov. 14, 2011, becoming the port’s largest year-round cruise ship.
