Atlantic Alliance Welcomes Costa Magica in 2011

Costa Cruises is the second cruise line to feature Atlantic coast cruises in 2011, following AIDA, according to the Atlantic Alliance. Called “A Taste of the Great Capitals of Europe,” nine 10-night cruise will sail roundtrip from Le Havre in June, July and August, calling at Dover, Amsterdam and Hamburg, as well as Copenhagen, Oslo and Edinburgh. Dover and Edinburgh will interchange with Harwich and Invergordon on two of the sailings.

Passengers will also be able to visit Paris (from Le Havre), London (from Dover) and Berlin (from Hamburg).

Costa will also do partial embarkations in other ports, including Hamburg.

The Atlantic Alliance said it has developed several itineraries with different themes: A capital cruise; a seven cultures cruise; a culinary voyage; and a UNESCO world heritage cruise.

Dirk Moldenhauer, Chairman of the Atlantic Alliance, said he is “excited that Costa Cruises is now offering cruises within our region. The creation of 10-night itineraries touching four member ports and their ‘capitals’ is very promising and shows the importance of our region as an attractive destination”.
