Nicola Gargiulo Promoted to Executive Vice President at MSC Cruises (USA)

MSC Cruises (USA), Inc. announced the promotion  of Nicola Gargiulo to executive vice president, a newly-created position, reporting directly to Richard E. Sasso, president and chief-executive-officer, of its North American operations in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Gargiulo replaces Neil Palomba, chief-operating-officer for MSC Cruises (USA), Inc., also recently promoted, who will assume his new role as corporate operating officer for MSC Cruise’s worldwide operations at the company’s corporate headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland on July 15.

Garguilo has worked for MSC Cruises for eight years in various roles shipboard and in its offices both in the U.S. and Italy. In his latest role, he was responsible for North American revenue including yield and inventory management. As executive vice president, Gargiulo will oversee the entire North American operations, sales, and marketing.

As a result of both promotions, the Group Sales, Revenue Management, and Customer Service departments have been reorganized.  The changes are effective immediately.

Susan Ferluga, previously manager of groups, assumes her new role as manager of yield management and pricing. Lucy Schnorrbusch, former director of sales and customer service, is now director of groups. Magalie Cassidy, manager of reservations, takes on the expanded role of sales service and Gail Nicolaus, director of marketing and public relations, takes on the expanded role of customer service.
