Deltamarin Designs a Passenger Vessel for Korea

The Finnish consulting and engineering company Deltamarin Ltd has signed a consultancy contract with the Korean ship owner Innian Global Co., Ltd for the project development, basic design, procurement handling and contracting services for two passenger cruise ships to be operating on the route Korea – Hong Kong and other South East Asian areas.

The total value of the work is about 40 man-years. The aim is that the ships would be finished for the International Exposition, in Yeosu, Korea in 2012, which means an extremely tight schedule for both the design and building of the ships. The ships will function as accommodation facilities during the EXPO and will commence sailing after that.

The work will be carried out in cooperation with the building yard Sekwang Shipbuilding Co., LTD and Kist Co., Ltd. who will both perform as contact parties for the performance of the scope of the work.
