In an industry first, Crystal Cruises announces the recognition of its onboard photographers by the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP). After a year of hands-on training from a highly credentialed Fellow at the BIPP, the photographers aboard the award-winning Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity are now recognized as Licentiates in the BIPP tiered program.

The BIPP is a leading British and internationally recognized professional qualifying organization. Paragon Pixels, an Associate Member of the BIPP and exclusive photography concessionaire to Crystal Cruises, sponsored Crystal’s photographers towards achieving professional status.

In addition, Paragon Pixels is an Affiliate member of the Master Photographers Association (MPA), a British based professional qualifiying organization, similar to the BIPP, which has also recognized the professional level of expertise of Crystal’s photographers, naming them Master Photographers, also at the Licentiate level.

This professional recognition of their established level of skill and competence in the field of portrait photography allows them to place the letters LBIPP and MPA after their names.

“We are very proud that Crystal’s photographers have achieved the recognition of the two leading professional photography organizations in the UK,” says Thomas Mazloum, senior vice president, hotel operations. “By investing in training and high skill levels of our crew, we’re able to consistently offer superior products and experiences to our guests.”

Crystal’s onboard photographers offer private portrait sessions on every itinerary. Using the distinctive architecture of the ship as a backdrop or in a formal studio set up the images will provide a lasting memory and is ideal for individuals, couples, families or groups.
