Susan Lethridge Joins Voyages to Antiquity

Voyages to Antiquity, the new cruise line founded by industry veteran Gerry Herrod, has appointed Susan Lethbridge to the position of Director of Business Development. Lethbridge brings extensive cruise industry experience to the new position having spent many years in senior sales management positions with Royal Viking Line and Radisson (now Regent) Seven Seas Cruises where she was VP International Sales. For the past several years, Lethbridge was with High Country Passage, a leading operator of educational cruise and tour programs.

Lethbridge specializes in developing charter and affinity group business with the educational travel community, nonprofit organizations, and alumni associations. She has served on the Advisory Council of the annual Educational Travel Conference. “As part of our overall sales strategy, I welcome the exciting opportunity to introduce Voyages to Antiquity and the Aegean Odyssey cruise programs” Lethbridge commented. “We offer 16 extraordinary itineraries in the Mediterranean, inspired by historian John Julius Norwich’s book “The Middle Sea”. Gerry Herrod and John Julius Norwich developed the port intensive itineraries.”

“Voyages aboard the Aegean Odyssey feature first class lecturers and scholars”, adds Lethbridge, “with a wonderful blend of interest and excitement ashore, comfort and relaxation on board. And, extraordinary value is a hallmark of Voyages to Antiquity, featuring included shore excursions, wine with dinner, gratuities and Free – $199 air add-ons from over 70 North American cities.“

Mitchell Schlesinger will continue to be responsible for the retail Travel Agency sales and business development in addition to managing special projects. “Susan is a wonderful addition to the team and together we will be able to broaden our exposure and reach”, Schlesinger commented.

Aegean Odyssey is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment in Greece with the capacity being reduced from 570 to 350 passengers. The vessel will feature 81 brand new suites and deluxe staterooms including 42 with balconies and open seating dining at multiple venues.
