Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara Announce ASAP Plus

Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises today announced ASAP Plus, the next phase of the Agent Support Action Program, or ASAP, an extraordinary support program expressly designed to help agents offset today’s business challenges initially launched in December 2008. Under ASAP Plus, travel agent partners of the three cruise brands can qualify to maintain their 2009 commission level in 2010, even if they have not achieved the required revenue levels.

To qualify for the ASAP Plus commission benefit, travel agents need only make one new 2009 booking on Royal Caribbean International and one new 2009 booking on Celebrity Cruises or Azamara Cruises. The travel agent’s 2009 commission level will be automatically secured for 2010 after the completion of the 2009 sailings.

Dondra Ritzenthaler, senior vice president of Sales for Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises, and Vicki Freed, senior vice president of Sales, Trade Support and Services for Royal Caribbean International, said, “We’ve all been challenged to work a little differently these days and our travel agent partners continue to amaze us with their determination and commitment to finding new ways to thrive. And to show that we are true partners, in good and bad times, we want to continue to support the travel agent community by introducing ASAP Plus.”
