Saga Announces Opera Cruise for 2018

The Saga Sapphire will sail a 19-night opera theme cruise in 2018, departing on July 19 from Dover, England.

Saga Cruises announced the itinerary will feature singing lessons and onboard performances, as well as other opera-themed events.

When the box office opens, Saga also said it hopes to be able to offer tickets to the annual open-air Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago.

The Saga Sapphire will overnight in Livorno to visit Torre del Lago, where Puccini’s summer villa is now a museum, with a further option to take an excursion to Florence.

The 720-passenger ship also calls into Cartagena, Castellón de la Plana and Ibiza, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Monte Carlo, Monaco and Gibraltar.
