HAL Doubles Panama Canal Capacity in 09

Holland America Line will double its capacity in the Panama Canal next year with eight ships offering full transits, and a passenger capacity of more than 30,000 – compared to six ships and 15,000 passengers in 2008. The main reason for the increase is additional sailings by the Statendam, which will be offering 11 in 2009. Only two were offered in 2008.
