Trimline Completes Refit Job on The World

Trimline has completed a refurbishment of the public areas of the The World.

Over a 28-day dry-dock period in Cadiz, Spain, marine interior specialists completed the refurbishment before The World continued on her 2016 journey across Europe.

“Everyone at Trimline is extremely proud to have delivered such a striking refurbishment to The World. Our skilled teams came into their own on this technically challenging transformation,” said Trimline’s CEO, Andrew Richards.

Among the areas Trimline worked in were the restaurant, theater, deck 12 aft, and the spa and wellness area.

The Marina restaurant was given a new redesign and refurbishment with new retractable floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a private dining room, bar/lounge area, chef’s presentation table, contemporary artwork and a wine vault. The furnishings that were added are made of natural fabric and can be found in a variety of colors.

Newly designed seats were installed in the Colosseo theatre entertainment and meeting space, together with plush thick pile- carpets, solid wood parquet flooring and velvet drapes. Both sound and lighting capabilities were upgraded.

Deck 12 aft was redesigned and elevated for better views, and four new Bali beds, together with retractable awnings and privacy walls, were added.

Finally, the spa area was refreshed.
