A 14 Call Week in Var-Provence

The cruise season in Var-Provence is reaching new heights as 14 ships are expected this week, July 18-24, in the member ports of Var-Provence Cruise Club.

The Viking Star got things started for 2016 way back on January 12, with the season extending through December 29, when the Viking Sea calls in Toulon and the AIDAstella overnights in La Seyne-sur-Mer.

Forty-one ship calls are expected in July, with highlights including the maiden visit from the new TUI Discovery and maiden calls from the Regent Navigator and Explorer.

The week of July 18-24 features some 14 ship calls including the Norwegian Spirit, Mein Schiff 3, Sovereign of the Seas, Costa Classica, Independence of the Seas, SeaDream 1, the Ponant, Seven Seas Explorer, Star Pride and Seabourn Sojourn.

There is also a new cruise terminal in Toulon’s city center, which has been completely refurbished and modernized in time for the busy summer season. The inauguration took place in May.

Forty ship calls are scheduled for August.
