Crown Expands

Crown Cruise Line has announced the promotion of Linda L. Michel to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Marketing and sales in anticipation of the line’s expected expansion over the next 18 months.

The cruise line, which will introduce the 500-pax Crown del Mar this fall and the 560-pax Crown Monarch in January of 1990, also named William T. Duke as Vice President of Marketing and Sales and promoted Trisha Burke to Director of Sales in charge of the cruise line’s expanded sales force.

Michel was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Crown for the past two years.

Duke was most recently Executive Director of the Port of Gulfport (Miss.) and has more than 15 years experience in international corporate management, marketing and marine transportation.

Burke has extensive marketing experience and both individual and group sales experience. She has been a sales representative for Crown Cruise Line since 1985.

The cruise line also appointed Dominick DiLorenzo as District Sales Manager for the Middle Atlantic region. He comes from Singapore Airlines and has more than 20 years travel industry experience.

Matthew Everett was appointed District Sales Manager for Metro New York. He was most recently a travel consultant with Empress Travel and Glen Rock Travel, both of New Jersey.

Debra Moleski was appointed District Sales Manager for Pennsylvania. She worked as a travel agent with Holiday Plaza Travel, Crete Travel and Jack Feldman Travel Services, all of Illinois.

Dominick Yovino was named to District Sales Manager for the Midwest. He has held various sales positions with Aerolinas Argentinas Airlines, Braniff, and Japan Air Lines.

Crown Cruise Line has also expanded its Florida sales force by recently naming Chris Rodriguez as District Sales Manager for Northwest Florida, Karen L. South as District Sales Manager for Southern Florida and Debi Lynn Stacy as District Sales Manager for Northeast Florida. Rodriguez was previously responsible for conference sales at the Palm Beach Airport Hilton, South worked as a Sales Representative with Treasure Cay Services, The Haley Corp. and Holiday House in Florida and Stacy previously managed the Spa Lady of Jacksonville, Fla.
