Costa to Homeport neoClassica in Mumbai

Costa Crociere will be the latest cruise line to dip its toes into India when it homeports the neoClassica in Mumbai next winter for a short program of week-long cruises on a Maldives/India route, according to itineraries bookable on Costa’s Italian website.

Cruises sail seven-nights between Mumbai and Male, and can be combined into a 14-night roundtrip from Mumbai.

The 52,926-ton neoClassica was previously scheduled to sail out of Dubai. The neoRiviera will sail out of Dubai as scheduled.

The neoRomantica, meanwhile, remains in the Indian Ocean sailing from Mauritius next winter, while the Pacifica and Mediterranea are being deployed to South America.

Both Star Cruises and Louis Cruise Lines (now Celestyal) have previously tried India-based programs and left the market in short order.
