Radisson Deal Off?

At press time, negotiations between Radisson Seven Seas Cruises, Services et Transports and Chantiers de l’Atlantique to build a $300 million, 750passenger luxury vessel have reached an impasse because of construction costs, according to Radisson’s president and CEO Mark Conroy. “We haven’t closed the deal – we’re a bit apart on the price,” said Conroy, indicating that Chantiers has increased building costs based on recent changes specified by Radisson, which wants the vessel at the original price. Conroy anticipated a decision by Chantiers by the end of March.
