Delta Air Lines Announces a New Dockside Check-in service at the Port of Barcelona

Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) announces that it will offer a new dockside check-in service at the Port of Barcelona, Spain, for passengers returning from cruise trips and traveling back to the United States with Delta.

Customers arriving at the port’s cruise Terminal B on Royal Caribbean International, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Holland America Line ships will be able to check-in for their Delta flights, check baggage and obtain their boarding passes at six dockside check-in areas.  The service will be available to customers traveling on Delta’s two daily nonstop flights from Barcelona (DL95 to New York–JFK and DL115 to Atlanta).

Delta is the first airline in Barcelona to offer the dockside service, which expedites the check-in process and brings added convenience to customers.  Delta plans to offer the service on a permanent basis, eventually rolling it out to all cruise ships.

Asunción Perez, Commercial Director, Delta Air Lines, said: “Delta is committed to simplifying the travel experience of our customers.  We are very grateful to the Port of Barcelona and Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (AENA), who have supported us in developing the dockside check-in infrastructure. Checking-in at the cruise terminal will allow Delta passengers to easily transition between their cruise and their flight home.”

Delta customers wishing to determine if dockside check-in capability in Barcelona applies to their cruise should contact their travel agent or local Delta reservations number.
