VIKAND Appoints New Management Positions

Cruise industry medical services provider VIKAND has announced several new hires.

Effective April 1st, Ms. Crystol Lasley was appointed to Vice President, Medical Services, Dr. Bill Heymann, to Chief Medical Officer,  Len Quist to Vice President, Sales and Marketing and Wesley Echevarria to Manager of the Yachts division.  Lasley, Heymann and Quist are well associated with the company while Wesley Echevarria is a new team member.

“The four appointments are recognitions of our expanded growth into the maritime industry”, said Peter Hult, Chief Executive Officer at VIKAND. 

Bill Heymann, MD FACEP and Crystol Lasey, RN BSN have been a part of the medical team at VIKAND since the initial establishment as MHG Medical Management Services in 2010. Dr. Heymann is the Chairman and cofounder  for the American College of Emergency Physicians Cruise Medicine Section. He has served as a medical consultant for numerous cruise lines over the past 30 years and practiced as a critical care and emergency physician at the University  of Miami Hospital.

Prior to her positions as manager and director of medical services at VIKAND, Ms. Crystol Lasley served as Supervisor of Crew Medical Services and New Hire Physicals Program for Carnival Cruise Line.

Len Quist brings more than 30 years of experience working  for both multinational and emerging  companies in general management  and sales planning.  He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and has a long track record of implementing successful marketing strategies.

“Prior to my previous role as Director of Operations for VIKAND, I worked  closely with Peter and the VIKAND team as a consultant performing  business and financial  planning”,  said Len Quist who has been associated with the company over the past three years.

Wesley Echevarria has over 25 years of experience in providing  emergency patient care on both land and sea and is known  for his long-standing achievements in the Technical Rescue team at Broward County Fire Rescue Department. Wesley has held senior management positions in medical services companies serving the yachting community and the community at large.
