For those travel agents, tour operators and wholesalers seeking to learn more about the beautiful country of Belize, July 30th – August 4th, 2008 is the time to gain some first-hand knowledge. The Belize Tourism Board is pleased to announce its five-day travel industry event, the Belize Tourism Expo (BETEX). Held every two years, the event offers an exclusive opportunity for travel trade professionals to meet with local suppliers and get a personal experience in Belize.
The BETEX event includes exciting countrywide tour expeditions and a marketplace that allows for networking and business meetings. Participants can choose expedition options including Sea & Caye, Diving, Bed & Breakfast, Archaeology, Rainforest/Jungle, Culture, Family, Luxury/Spa and Romance. BETEX 2008 has a slightly changed format from previous years and now consists of a decentralized market session and an added tour day. Each of the expedition itineraries include four nights of mini-marketplace sessions complete with tabletop exhibits allowing for one-on-one meetings with suppliers. In addition, BETEX will still feature educational seminars as well as cultural shows and social functions.
Participants will include local Belizean suppliers and travel trade professionals from all over the world. BETEX will be a valuable and unique experience for any trade professional interested in doing travel related business with Belize.
