Pullmantur Appoints Two New Senior Execs

Pullmantur has announced the appointments of Jurgen Bailom, vice president of operations, and José Blanco González, vice president of commercial.

Both will report to Jorge Vilches, president and CEO of Pullmantur Group, and will be located in Madrid, where the company is headquartered.

Pullmantur noted the hires come at an important point for the company, where a redefined strategy has the cruise line focusing on the product quality more than ever, while re-concentrating efforts on the Spanish source marked.

Bailom is responsible for the overall strategy of the company including hotel, supply chain and onboard revenue. He was most recently senior corporate director for Royal Caribbean Cruises, based in Miami, and had previously been fleet hotel director and project manager for Royal. In addition, his career includes Island Cruises and various corporate and hotel positions at Royal Caribbean.

González will be responsible for leading and monitoring the strategy and business of Pullmantur worldwide, said the company, bringing a long and successful career in the tourism sector with him.
