Cunard Redefines Self-Service Dining on QM2

Cunard has announced its plans for the major redesign of Kings Court, the buffet onboard the Queen Mary 2.

During Queen Mary 2’s extensive refit from May 27 to June 21 2016, Kings Court will be completely transformed with a more open, intuitive central buffet area and reconfigured seating arrangements to create a relaxed self-service experience with a refined, yet informal ambiance.

“The remastered Kings Court is one of the most exciting innovations of Queen Mary 2’s dramatic refit,” said Richard Meadows, president, Cunard North America. “From new culinary experiences, to a pleasant, easygoing flow, we are confident that this thoughtfully re-designed dining experience is befitting of our guests’ sensibilities, tastes and expectations.”

Extensive development work involving Cunard guests and the onboard Queen Mary 2 galley teams has been undertaken over the last eighteen months in the redesign of this very popular area of the flagship. Enhancements are planned to both the service and culinary offerings in Kings Court with the refreshed venue featuring new menus, the convenience of pre-set tables and waiter-served drinks.
