Ponant Opens Sales for Summer 2016 – New Ports and Itineraries Featured

Ponant is opening bookings for its Summer 2016 itineraries, 16 months before the first departure dates.

Be it an expedition to the Arctic, a relaxing cruise in the Adriatic or an exceptional itinerary along the east coast of the United States, Ponant’s series of signature vessels offer guests a sophisticated style of sailing on yacht-style ships that are small enough to reach the very heart of the destinations they call on to discover the most emblematic sights and secret treasures.

Ponant all-inclusive pricing includes open bar and these cruises will be eligible for the maximum Ponant Bonus discount of up to 30% off the brochure price for a limited period only.

New for 2016 are transit calls in New York, on a roundtrip sailing from Boston.

Le Boréal will offer its passengers the experience of a two-day stopover in the heart of New York. Before reaching the Big Apple, the ship will call at some of the seaside resorts of the East Coast: Lunenburg, Nova Scotia (UNESCO); Bar Harbour, Provincetown on the Cape Cod peninsula, and Newport, Rhode Island . After an exciting two days in New York, Le Boreal heads for Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard.

The line is also offering new departures from London, Dublin and Malaga.

In May 2016, Le Boréal will set sail from London, at the foot of the world-famous Tower Bridge, and chart a course towards Ostend (Belgium), the Isle of Wight and the Scilly Islands around the UK, Galway, Killybegs, Belfast, and Dublin in Ireland.

Le Boréal will set sail from Dublin to explore the most beautiful locations of the west coast of Scotland, including the islands of Iona, Mull, Lewis and Skye, and Glasgow. Stopovers in Liverpool and Belfast are also included.

From Malaga, Le Lyrial will follow the route of the caravels that sailed up the Guadalquivir River to bring back their rich pickings from the American Eldorado. Passengers will discover Seville and Cadiz before reaching the Strait of Gibraltar and Motril, gateway to Granada and its Alhambra Palace.

There are also new ports of call for the line in Greece and Croatia.

Aboard Le Lyrial, passengers will discover Paxos, the” most secret” of the Ionian islands, Navagio beach on Zakynthos, which can only be reached by sea, and is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, or Opatija in Istria. This cruise also includes the crossing of the Corinth canal and stopovers in Athens, the Bay of Kotor, Dubrovnik, Mljet, Korcula, Trogir and the Kornati Islands.

In the fall the line will debut a new family cruise from Marseille, with organized family activities and a children’s club aboard.
