More Ships for ACL and Pearl Seas? Chesapeake Shipbuilding Expanding

Could more ships for American Cruise Lines and Pearl Seas Cruises be on the way?

Chesapeake Shipbuilding of Salisbury, MD, announced today that it is expanding its design department and is actively seeking two Naval Architects and one Marine Engineer to add to its design team.

The yard has built all of American Cruise Lines’ vessels and is believed to be where Pearl Seas will build future ships. In addition, the Maryland facility is expanding and also builds tug boats.

The yard shares a common owner with both cruise lines: Charles Robertson.
