New Port Director in Miami

According to various reports, there’s a new port director at one of the country’s biggest and busiest cruise homeports, PortMiami.

Miami port director Bill Johnson is said to be taking a new post as a water and sewer chief, after just about eight years leading PortMiami.

The change was said to come over disagreements involving a soccer stadium on Dodge Island.

Juan Kurvla, deputy director, is assumed to be taking Johnson’s place in Miami.
