Nanaimo Port Announces New Staff and Re-alignmnet

David Mailloux has accepted his new position as Manager, Communication & Public Affairs for the Nanaimo Port Authority, vacating his position as Manager, Community Relations / Marina held since April 2003. 

Mailloux will be responsible for a wide range of key communication issues for the Port Authority including community engagement and development of stakeholder relations.

Greg Entwistle has accepted his new position as Marina Manager – Nanaimo Port Authority.  Entwistle has been an integral part of the financial administration team at the Nanaimo Port Authority since 1994 gaining a comprehensive understanding of the port business and of marina operations.

Jordan Bryski, has been appointed as a full time employee of the Nanaimo Port Authority. Bryski, who has served in various temporary capacities for over six years, brings knowledge of marina operations and the users of the downtown waterfront to his full time position.

The Nanaimo Port Authority welcomes Arlene Rolston – B.A. who will commence work as the new Executive Assistant, replacing Lorraine Markin who retired November 1, 2013 after 26 years. 

Rolston comes to the port with a professional background at the Coastal Community Credit Union and will be an invaluable asset for the Port Authority Board and the Executive Management Team going forward.   

Bernie Dumas, President & CEO – Nanaimo Port Authority stated: “We are in a transition phase at the Port.  I am very pleased with the adjustments we are making to deal with the dynamic market conditions we are anticipating and the expectations of our valued stakeholders and clients!”
