Star Cruises is hosting Chen Mei Feng, a renowned Taiwanese actress, singer and multi-talented TV personality, for a 3D2N Malacca Cruise from 27-29 November. She will be filming the acclaimed Formosa TV Taiwanese variety and cooking show “A Date with Mei Feng” onboard the luxurious SuperStar Virgo.
Hosted by Chen Mei Feng since 2000, this epicurean prime-time show has broadcasted over 2,900 episodes. It has become an on screen TV obsession for avid viewers across the region. In each episode, Chen Mei Feng and her connoisseur guests will impart their vast F&B knowledge and expert cookery tips.
This time the long-lived food program will take her on a cultural expedition to Malacca in Malaysia, where she will be introducing SuperStar Virgo’s signature dishes masterfully prepared by Star Cruises’ award-winning Executive Chef Reinhard Mammes from Germany.
At Taverna, the alfresco open-deck F&B snacks bar, she and Chef Reinhard will be whipping up culinary sensations on the high seas. “Famous Penang Rojak” is a delectable creation made of a tangy assortment of mouth-watering tropical fruits, vegetables and other ingredients such as sweet turnip, cucumber, pineapple, cuttlefish and tossed in rojak paste with crunchy peanuts. Another highlight is the aromatic “Roti Jala Served with Curry Chicken Malay Style”, an authentic spicy chicken dish flawlessly accentuated by a thin crispy crust of Roti Jala pastry.
