T. Mariotti (worldwide leader in the luxury shipbuilding industry) and San Giorgio del Porto (recognized as worldwide player in repair and ship conversion), which, for coincidence, had been both established exactly 80 years ago (1928), have today signed an agreement for the establishment of the holding company  “Genova Industrie Navali”.

At the constitution, the shareholders of Genoa Industrie Navali are as follows: 24.75% ca. Family Garrè Holding and 75.25% Bisagno-Zanetti Holding

The holding company will have the role of co-ordinating and enhancing the business of the two companies, both at the strategic level and in relation to the investments, which will be oriented to the increase in the number of opportunities for development of the group at international and national level, the enlargement of offering - with consequent benefits in terms of both production and competitiveness - as well as the implementing of strategies for better optimization and enhancement of operational and logistic synergies and the organization of the working process.

Today, at the new shipyard site of Genoa Industrie Navali, are employed around 300 units, while at the economic activities induced by the shipyard are employed a further 1,200 units. Inside the port of Genoa, the surface of the shipyard covers an area of about 53,000 square meters, of which 15,000 square meters indoor and over 1,500 mt. are quays. To these spaces should be added additional 50,000 square meters and 200 meters of the quays located in San Giorgio di Nogaro (UD), which originate from the Naval Construction CI.MAR (the shareholders of the Company are Cimolai for 50% and T.Mariotti for the further 50%)

The strategy of Genova Industrie Navali is to keep unchanged the operational autonomy and the peculiarities of the controlled companies in different segments of the market in which they operate, as they describe constant growth rates and also provide a positive trend in the future. At the same time, the complementarities of the two Companies will led to a further economic development and there will be also further opportunities for economic development for the territory where the Companies are located.
