“I am very pleased to announce this important agreement as it will give the possibility to cruise lines to offer a very good option at an extremely competitive price to the large share of those passengers wishing to explore the city by themselves. Moreover cruise lines and passengers taking part in this program will actively promote and participate in the preservation and enhancement of this patrimony, as shown by the sentence written in every ticket: ‘this is a contribution to the maintenance of the churches of Venice’.”
