10/16/06 - Lindblad Expeditions Launches "LEXLeaders" Campaign PDF Print E-mail
New York, NY (October 16, 2006) - Lindblad Expeditions launches a new campaign this month, LEXLeaders, designed for the company's top travel agencies nationwide. The agencies, selected on the basis of production, consistency, and potential for future growth with Lindblad, have collectively sold over $9 million in Lindblad products in 2006 alone.

"The main goal of the LEXLeaders campaign is to recognize and reward the highly successful and motivated leaders in the travel industry," said Jan Cooper, Business Development Specialist for Lindblad Expeditions. "We aim to support agencies that value our partnership, motivate clients through marketing initiatives, are intrigued by utilizing state-of-the-art technology, and want to develop strategies with us to grow their business," she added. Furthermore, Lindblad will be offering a web-based training program in late 2006/early 2007 to encourage other agents to follow in LEXLeader footsteps. By studying Lindblad's expedition offerings and the demographics of targeted guests, agents will be poised to generate significant sales and be considered for LEXLeader status and benefits.

LEXLeaders will receive tools, resources, and incentives that are mutually beneficial, contributing to an agency's success while strongly supporting and furthering Lindblad's mission and travel philosophy. "One of our governing principles at Lindblad is `to positively impact the areas we explore and in which we work,'" said Jacinta McEvoy, VP of Travel Agency Sales. "We align with these top 100 agencies to share, and hopefully extend, this commitment to responsible tourism in the travel sector."

LEXLeaders benefits to the agent community include the possibility for increased commission, the use of video footage from the field, and a marketing program to help reach existing and potential clients. Additional benefits include training and execution of revolutionary print-on-demand technology, exclusive web-based referrals, a dedicated telephone line, online training sessions, and familiarization voyages. Agents named as LEXLeaders will also receive focused attention from Lindblad's senior level sales team.
